Italian 19th Century Louis XVI Style Rectangular Giltwood Table
About the Item
A fine Italian 19th century Louis XVI style rectangular giltwood table. Raised by circular tapered legs with rosettes, acanthus leaves and a reeded top design. The legs are joined by an ‘X’ stretcher with a central rosette. The straight frieze has a front and back with a central reserve of a lyre flanked by berried laurel branches, which is a sign of peace. At both ends is a carved reserve of a circular rosette flanked by the same branches. At the top lays a stunning and unusual marble.
