Wonderful original Japanese film poster for the 1969 re-release of West Side Story in Japan. This Japanese Tatekan poster is very rare. A stunning poster.
The Japanese Tatekan (also known as Tatsumi) which translates to a standing or signboard poster were printed in two pieces which were to be pasted together on the bill boards. Far rarer, and more striking than the standard Japanese B2 posters, they are highly collectible.
This vintage movie poster been professionally linen-backed and is sized 20 x 57 3/4 inches (plus a little more with the linen-backing). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
