Original vintage Great Western Railway travel poster for the Cornish Riviera The Vikings landing on St Ives Beach featuring an historical scene by Percy Spence (1868-1933) depicting Vikings in battle uniform with capes and horned helmets marching up a hill with their spears and shields from a beach in Cornwall and being greeted by a Viking blowing a horn and leaders in decorative winged helmets, their sailing ships on the sea below with seagulls flying in the distance and the bold title text in the margin above and below. Printed by J. Weiner Ltd London. Large size. Horizontal. Very good condition, small restored tears, backed on linen.
