Original vintage Soviet travel poster for Tbilisi issued by the State Travel Company Intourist (founded 1929) - Visitez l'URSS / Visit the USSR - featuring a statue to one of the greatest contributors to Georgian literature Shota Rustaveli (1166-c.1245-50), the notable medieval Georgian poet of the Georgian Golden Age most well known for his epic poem The Knight in the Panther's Skin, in the centre with images of notable buildings and a theatre performance in front of hills on the pink background within a decorative frame border with the Intourist logo above and stylised title text below. Good condition, folds, creasing, tears, repaired tears on margin.
