Amber and Peridot Rhinestone Antique Brooch
About the Item
This is a 1930s or 40s scallop edged gunmetal brooch. There is a large bezel set oval shaped amber glass stone surrounded with eight other smaller pieces of prong set oval shaped amber rhinestones. Sixteen smaller peridot colored rhinestones are scattered between. Even though part of the enamel detail and some rhinestone back foils are gone, that still doesn't affect it's beauty! Because of it's open back construction that allows light to go through, this is a brilliant and stunning piece. This brooch really caught my eye when it was sitting in a dark antique store and made me think of Gibson girls.
