Cilea Paris Resin Pin Brooch Purple Berries
About the Item
Stunning dimensional floral pin brooch designed by Cilea Paris. This elegant hand-made artisanal resin brooch features colorful berries and leaves in assorted colors of purple, red, green, and rust to form a powerful statement piece. The signature is underside on the security closing clasp and reads "Cilea - Paris."
Measurements: 2.63 in. wide (6.6 cm) x 2.13 in. deep (5.3 cm).
Note: Monique Védie was the creator of costume jewelry for the house of Védie, known for their remarkable designs in richly colored acetate, cellulose, and Talosel. Before retiring in 1992, she worked with many prestigious Parisian fashion houses and collaborated with couturiers such as Lanvin, Dior, and Ungaro. The signature style established by Védie is continued by current Cilea company owner, Stéphane Ravel.
Ravel, a painter, undertook and continued the "spirit" of the famous Parisian artisanal workshop run by Monique Vedie (a student of Line Vautrin), using resin to create humorous and chic pieces of jewelry. Each piece is hand-made in the workshop, twisted and bent by heat, and hand-painted to produce a wide range of figural and abstract jewelry.
