Lacloche Frères and Jaques Lacloche history Lacloche Frères was a prominent jewellery house, founded in Paris in 1892 by four brothers: Léopold, Jacques, Fernand, and Jules Lacloche. Specializing in luxurious and innovative jewellery designs, Lacloche Frères quickly gained international acclaim for their exquisite craftsmanship and creativity. Around 1912, they opened a shop in London, at 2 New Bond Street and in 1920 they bought up Faberge and its entire stock. The Lacloche Frères jewellery house flourished during the early 20th century, catering to an elite clientele that included royalty, celebrities, and high society. Their creations were characterized by intricate detailing, vibrant gemstones, and innovative techniques, reflecting the spirit of the Art Deco era. Jacques Lacloche, a pivotal figure among the founding members of the esteemed jewellery house, made indelible contributions to its enduring success. Renowned for his artistic vision and meticulous attention to detail, he played a significant role in shaping the legacy of the brand. Tragedy struck in the early 1900's when Jacques Lacloche met an untimely demise in a train accident, leaving behind his pregnant wife, who bore their son and named him Jacques, born in 1901. The younger Jacques, poised to continue the family legacy, collaborated with his uncles to expand the business presence by establishing branches in prominent locales such as Biarritz and Deauville. In 1938, Jacques Lacloche Junior further solidified the family's legacy by inaugurating a prestigious jewellery shop located at 8 Palace Vendome, a distinguished address in the heart of the industry. Over the years, he skillfully upheld the heritage of exquisite craftsmanship, earning the admiration of discerning clientele. However, in 1966, Jacques Lacloche Junior made a strategic decision to transition from jewellery-making to the realm of contemporary art, marking a significant shift in his career trajectory. This move showcased his adaptability and appreciation for evolving artistic expressions, underscoring his versatility as a connoisseur of both traditional craftsmanship and avant-garde creativity. This transition not only highlighted Jacques Lacloche Junior's keen insight but also underscored the enduring legacy of the Lacloche family, whose multifaceted talents continue to resonate in the spheres of jewelry and contemporary art, leaving an indomitable mark on the industry.* All items are cleaned and inspected before being dispatched.
