About the Item
•Jabot pin in 18K white gold and platinum surmounted by a glass Buddha imitating jade, topped with an openwork halo and paved with pink-cut diamonds, the end of the pin and the Buddha's seat also set with pink-cut diamonds. •Work around 1925.
•Signed "Lacloche-Frères" and "Made in France", trace of numbering, master punch of André Gérard.
•Weight: 6.8 grams.
•Length: 6.1 cm
•Two similar copies are reproduced in the book "Lacloche Joailliers" by Laurence Mouillefarine and Véronique Ristelhueber, ed Norma, 2019, p 124. These jabot pins testify to the enthusiasm for the Far East in the 1920s. Indeed, Western fashion is rediscovering the arts of Japan, Egypt, China and their influence is spreading in particular among great couturiers and jewellers. Jade, as precious as gold in the eyes of the Chinese, appears in the adornments.
