Line Vautrin School Honey Amber Talosel Resin Dangle Pin Brooch

About the Item

This lovely dangling pin brooch was executed by one of the students of Line Vautrin in the 1970s. The brown Talosel geometric dangle shape is encrusted with honey amber resin cabochons on a silver foil background. The pin has a security closing clasp at the back. There is no visible maker's mark. The brooch is in excellent condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. Measurements: 1.69 in wide (4.2 cm) x 3.07 in long (7.8 cm). Note: In the 1970s, the boutique Line Vautrin opened on the left bank in Paris is doing well, but Line is a designer, not a manager, and she needs to be in the creating process. She plans to open and lead a school where she will teach her manufacturing processes. Her daughter, Marie-Laure Bonnaud-Vautrin, taught there for ten years. The students are both enthusiasts who come to spend their free time and also artists searching for new techniques. Some artists who attended the Line Vautrin School include Irena Jaworska and Monique Vedie. Line Vautrin decided to shut down the school in the early 1980s.
