Vintage Solid Precious Opal Flower Brooch Circa 1940s 15ct Yellow Gold Valuation
About the Item
This is a very high quality vintage piece.
You will understand when you hold it and feel the smooth and silky lines. The photos cannot do it justice.
It features lovely, Australian solid Opals that are set on 15ct yellow gold stems to look like sprays of flowers. The Precious Opals vary in colour from pinkish-red to greenish-blue giving the effect of stylised flower petals on one side, with leaves on the other. It really is a very pretty piece.
The brooch is secured snuggly by a gold pin and C clasp. It is a large piece that measures approximately 6.5cms x 3cms and it looks spectacular when pinned onto a dark coloured outfit.
The brooch is Circa 1940s and it is marked with the makers name 'Proud' and stamped 15ct. It comes with a valuation certificate with a Retail Replacement Value of $4,500.
