Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings w/ Rose Cut Moonstones w/ 14kt post Diamond accent
About the Item
These stylish sterling silver "Crescent" hoop earrings are set on both sides with rose cut moonstones for a lively play of light. The pair are sculpted as mirror reflections so there is a unique left and right earring.
This one inch diameter hoop is scaled to go from funky day to elegant evening. The tip of the crescent has a cut diamond accent set on one side.
The greatest concern of Alberian & Aulde as designers and makers is how the piece relates on the body, rather than as a stand alone object.
Precise attention is taken as to how light flows both sculpturally and along the gemstones to create an aura that integrates with the wearer.
A&A use custom cut gemstones (in most cases) to achieve the required result. The jewelry is cast from hand made wax sculptures and then hand finished by Alberian & Aulde to achieve the desired effect.

Alberian and Aulde
Alberian and Aulde’s jewelry speaks to the women who wear it. Their work is designed to the body, revealing its beauty and style expressly when worn. Subtle sculptural contour and precisely placed gemstones create an effect that defies convention and captivates the moment.
Mary Aulde and Warren Alberian met while studying Fine Art at the Cooper Union School of Art in N.Y.C. and have been collaborating for over three decades. Upon completion of their degrees Mary moved to Berlin and then London. During an extensive stay in Asia Warren met royal jewelers in New Delhi, India who introduced him to rose cut diamonds which immediately fascinated him with their feel of authenticity and unique play of light; at the time they were all but unknown in contemporary design use.
Envisioning these fascinating gems as the basis for artwork Warren was inspired to contact Mary who he convinced to join him, initiating their longstanding partnership.
Through many years of experimentation and discovery a lucid aesthetic crystallized which is well represented here today.
The pair are also well adept at custom creating unique pieces for their clientele to cherish that can only be described as modern day heirlooms.
