About the Item

This is an exquisite pair of late teens or early 1920's antique rhinestone shoe buckles in their original Saks Fifth Avenue leather crocodile embossed jewelry box. These are truly spectacular examples of shoe buckles! One pair has gorgeous large inset faceted crystal baguettes that are surrounded by small rhinestones. The other pair of buckles has a mix of rectangular and round rhinestones with openwork. Both sets are curved and they measure 2.5"x2" each. They have a 1.75" opening in the back. One of the large crystals is a little loose, and it is missing 2 rhinestones. The box itself is in poor condition - it has a lock in front but is missing the key (it can still open and close) and the back has separated along the entire back seam.
