About the Item
Modernist design sterling silver lion pendant part of the zoo series created by New York City jewelry design team Jack Brusca and Joseph Dante in 1976. The pendant is 2.25 inches wide, 2.25 inches high and .75 of an inch deep in cast sterling silver. Jack Brusca (1937 - 1993) was an accomplished painter and designer in addition to jewelry designer with partner Joseph Dante in the 1970s and 80s. This pendant was part of a personal collection of their friend and executive Margot Rogoff (American, 1935-2018). She was a former spokeswoman and director of public relations for Bloomingdale’s. The bottom right side is inscribed with the company name Brusca Dante, NYC, Sterling, copyright C in a circle, Zoo for the series name and 76 for the year. The pendant weighs 44 grams. Last photos show the rest of Margot's collection with a matching lion ring of the same series. All pieces are available in separate listings.
