About the Item
Here we have an outstanding heart shaped locket produced during the Mughal era. Mughal jewellery is notorious for exotic designs with birds, flowers and paisley being the most common themes used at the time and this piece is a perfect example of that.
The use of vivacious colour combinations with different styles and patterns creates a commendable ensemble like no other. This locket displays a consistent bordering but differing scenes on either side. Upon opening, this antique piece allows its keeper to store a small photograph or intimate object within.
Mughal jewellery gained popularity and fame among the people and soon this jewellery was accolade into bridal and wedding wear. However, due to the use of high quality materials and level of craftsmanship, today it is appreciated by all for any and all occassions.
