Platinum Diamond & Sapphire 1950s Convert. Pendant Dress Clips Earrings Brooch
About the Item
This stunning piece, all crafted in platinum, features a 20.10ct vivid blue natural heated sapphire from Sri Lanka, complete with a lab report. It measures 18.71mm long and 14.65mm wide. It is surrounded by a stunning 17.7tcw of F-H color, VS-SI clarity diamonds.
At once glamourous and versatile this piece can be worn all together, as seen in the first picture, as a slide on a necklace, or it can be split up into its different components. The two sides come off and can be worn as dress clips or can be fitted side by side on the accompanying brooch fitting to be worn as a brooch. The sides are numbered for easy assembly. Alternatively, you can flip up the earring posts and use the dress clip backs as omega backs for truly show-stopping earrings. The sapphire and diamond center of the pendant can be worn alone without the two sides.
True to 1950s style, this piece features an asymmetrical celebration of a variety of diamond cuts, including a time-period favorite: baguette diamonds. There are even seven old European cut diamonds bordering the bottom of the dress dress clips, which leads us to believe that this was a custom-made piece that utilized diamonds from an older piece.

Fully assembled, the piece measures 2.69" wide and 2.25" long. Disassembled, the clips measures 1.25" wide and 1.25" long. The disassembled center pendant measures 0.5" at the top, 1.38" at the widest part, and 1.94" long.
