THIS IS A SUPERB ANTIQUE AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A FRENCH BULLDOG "FRENCHIE" DOG.
This wonderful antique Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) dates to circa 1900-1930. The bronze is very possibly made by Bergmann. It is signed Geschutzt.
It features the most wonderful French Bulldog dog with magnificent modeling.
The face of the dog is full of the intelligence and charm that we all associate with the wonderful breed. The bronze is cold painted with wonderful details characteristic of the finest of the Austrian Bronzes. The dog is absolutely adorable.
The Frenchie is 2 inches (52 mm) long and 1 1/2 inches (40 mm) tall.
The bronze is solid.
The bronze is signed GESCHUTZT for export and indicates the early age of the bronze.
