Vintage Old Marquise Cut Diamond Cluster Ring in Platinum
About the Item
A beautiful old cut marquise cluster ring set in platinum.
The ring is predominately set with a highly unique and rare to find old cut marquise stone which is securely 6-claw set in a decorative mount. To each side the marquise is highlighted by three graduating smaller marquise stones similarly set in claw settings. To enhance the shape of the central marquise there are 22 graduating baguettes that flow round the curve of the marquise. These baguettes ease into the 2.5-milimetre solid platinum band.
Once of the piece truly comes to life! The central stone is simply beautiful and the added detailing in the cluster enhances the sparkle once on the finger!
The central marquise stone has been independently assessed and valued as being 4.43 carats, K-L in colour, with VS2-SI1 clarity. Within the mount there is a further diamond weight of 1.86 carats, ranging F-J in colour with VS1-SI1 clarity. The ring is currently a UK finger size L ½ (USA approximate size 6) but this can be resized upon request for a perfect fit.
For size reference, the head of the ring measures 2.2 x 2.0 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 11.2 grams. The ring is not stamped but has been tested for platinum.
