About the Item
An Art Deco diamond and white gold ring, comprising three large round brilliant cut diamonds, and fifty-six smaller round brilliant cut and single cut diamonds, set in 18 karat white gold, to an 18 karat white gold band.
This statement Art Deco ring is set to the centre with 3 large round brilliant cut diamonds, set vertically. The diamonds are bright, white, and sparkly, are well-matched with one another, and have wonderful clarity and colour. The central diamonds are surrounded by a plethora of smaller round brilliant and single cut diamonds, creating a pave set navette shape which can’t help but catch your eye. The smaller diamonds are bright, sparkly, and well-matched with one another. The diamond-set navette has a millegrain border, and is raised on a pierced gallery, which allows light to filter through and aid sparkle. The ring is complete with diamond-set shoulders, which have a millegrain border and a brite-cut geometric design running down the centre. The sparkling shoulders of the ring lead to a plain, polished band of white gold. It is possible that the ring has been re-shanked at some point in its life, and the diamond-set shoulders added at a later date, as is appears they may not be original to the ring, however, this work has been done well and by a skilled jeweller. The ring is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 27.7mm long, and 14mm wide, sitting 7mm off the hand. The band measures 2.3mm wide at the back.
