About the Item
Colorful Tutti-Frutti jeweled domed cocktail ring.
Iconic colorful piece of jewelry from the late American art deco / mid century periods, circa 1950. The mounting elements was individually assembled and crafted in solid 18 karats of yellow gold.
The dome surface is embellished with 18 precious multi gemstones, each one is set with four prongs. They are blue sapphires (6), red rubies (3) and green emeralds (9). All of them are natural, not heated or treated and carved with organic leaves motifs, with an estimate total weight of 45.1 carats.
The spaces between the large gems are filled up and accented with a potpourri of 36 round brilliant cuts gems, like diamonds (3), rubies (11), sapphires (11) and emeralds (11), all together are 1.80 cts.
Have a weight of 20.4 grams and the actual size is 7.25, sizeable.
Stamped with assay hallmark for the gold, ".750".
The top view measures are 25 mm by 32 mm (1.02 by 1.28 Inches) and raise 18 mm over the finger.
History: The first Tutti Frutti piece was designed in 1901 by Pierre Cartier. It was a necklace commissioned by queen Alexandra to be worn with three Indian gowns she received as a gift. The designs are considered the perfect mix of east and west because they are made up of brightly colored gemstones (like sapphires, rubies and emeralds) carved using Indian techniques and set in French platinum and diamond mountings. The style became extremely popular during the 1920's, but it wasn't christened the 'Tutti Frutti' until1970.

Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
