Roman revival style signet ring with moonstone.
A statement signet ring, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with brushed finish. The ring has been designed in Italy in the ancient Roman style, with a swivel to flip the main gemstone. Mount with a beautiful oval cabochon cut moonstone with great chatoyancy.
Chatoyancy
In gemology, is an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones. Coined from the French "œil de chat", meaning "cat's eye", chatoyancy arises either from the fibrous structure of a material, as in tiger’s eye quartz, or from fibrous inclusions or cavities within the stone, as in cat's eye chrysoberyl and other translucent gemstones.
Moonstone: Mount in a movable bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (18 x 14 x 10 mm) of a natural Cat's-eye moonstone of 18.49 carats.
