Lu’s work also includes sculpturesof interlocking wood blocks, shaped paintings and sewn fabric collages.Her abstractions have been compared to theWashington Color School painters such as Kenneth Noland. Linling Lu’s large scale painting compositions are included in Fields and Formations, A Survey of Mid-Atlantic Abstraction, curated by Kristen Hileman.
