$17,500 - PearBy Leo SewellLocated in Greenwich, CTAmerican, b. 1945 Leo Sewell (b. 1945) is an American "found object" artist. His assemblages of recycled material are in over 40 museums and in private collections worldwide. Sewell was born in Annapolis, Maryland and moved to Philadelphia in 1974. As a child in Annapolis, he "recalls the "excitement of tinkering" with stuff he discovered and recovered during walks in the woods and visits to the naval-community dump." $40,000 - I Blew My Car Horn on NantucketBy Stephen PitliukLocated in Greenwich, CTAmerican, b. 1970 "Pitliuk has created a style that will endear him to those who venture into the collection of modern art; it challenges the intellect and tickles the funny bone at the same time." --Sharon Lorenzo - Art Historian "Artist Stephen Pitliuk introduces something bold to the island... [his] Pop Art stands out on an island inundated with landscape paintings." "Pitliuk, an island resident for [seven] years, comes to us from Miami, Florida. His work hangs in many private and corporate collections throughout the country... [The] vibrant colors and the rhythm of his native South Florida are definitely reflected in his work. His latest pieces, which burst through the prosaic treadmill of the New England art scene with a vengeance, bring anything from a raised eyebrow, to hysterical laughter to the viewer. Politically incorrect at best, and always with a smile, a balance of humor and commentary as an art form that is very often attempted and very rarely succeeds. In this case though, it has. Pitliuk's latest body of work seems to have hit the bull's eye of what makes Nantucketers tick. A fantastic mix of Post Modern meets Pop, meets Dadaism, meets Jean Michael...Category

- Late Colonial Sitting Room, Boston MA, 1760 - Miniature Room by Kupjack StudiosBy Henry "Hank" KupjackLocated in Chicago, ILA new middle class began to emerge in Colonial America and a migration into urban areas began. Unlike farmhouses, these new homes were elegant two-store homes designed in the new Georgian style, imitating the lifestyle of the upper middle class of England. The interiors consisted of a passageway down the middle of the house with specialized rooms off the sides, such as a library, dining room, sitting room or a primary bedroom. Unlike the multi-purpose space of the farmhouse, each of these rooms served a separate purpose. This new middle class had leisure time to entertain guests. In this sitting room, the Kupjacks have replicated this stately room with upholstered furniture, a working fireplace, decorative ceramics and silver accent pieces. - 18th Century New England Cartographer's Office - Kupjack Studios Miniature RoomBy Henry "Hank" KupjackLocated in Chicago, ILCartography, the study and practice of making and using maps, was at the cutting edge in the 18th-century, helping to shape and define a world rapidly coming into focus. Over the course of the century, exploration and colonization expanded the scope of the known world, especially in the Pacific and the Americas. Advances in geography enabled cartographers to map these new discoveries with increasing accuracy. The days of conjecture and myth in cartography were fast coming to an end. Here, the Kupjack Studios has captured this discipline with exacting details. From the smallest of tools, to the rolls of maps and maps in progress displayed on the desk, the world of miniatures comes to life and brings us into a bygone era. Kupjack Miniatures 18th Century New England Cartographer, circa. 2008 mixed media 14h x 26.25w x 14.75d in 35.56h x 66.67w x 37.47d cm KJK001 Eugene Kupjack and his sons Hank and Jay created museum quality miniature rooms in their studio outside of Chicago for many years. Hank and Jay learned the at their father’s side as he assisted Mrs. Narcissa Niblack Thorne with the creation her many miniature rooms now housed at The Art Institute of Chicago. Almost every piece of molding, furniture, rugs, and accessory items that are contained in their rooms are designed and created by hand. In addition to designing and building rooms they would sometimes work to restore the rooms built many years ago by their father and Mrs. Thorne. Their work can be seen in various museums as far away as Turkey where they were exhibited in 2009. In the United States their work can be seen in the permanent collections of The Kentucky Museum Center, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Philadelphia Art Museum...Category
