Read on to get Casey’s take on Copenhagen, and then check out her Danish-inspired board on Pinterest.

1. Why were you drawn to Copenhagen?

While studying design at a young age, I was drawn to the clean aesthetic of Danish design. But an upcoming trip to Denmark is truly inspiring my research.

2. What images and visuals do you most closely associate with the city?

Bicycles, the colorful buildings of the Nyhavn district, anything Arne Jacobsen, white walls paired with rustic wood, light.

3. What are three words you’d use to describe Copenhagen?

Quiet, comfortable elegance.

4. Please share your favorite image from the board, with a short explanation of why you like it.

My favorite image is the first one I pinned. It is quintessential Copenhagen and served as the starting inspiration for the board. I love the pastel colors— they feel current even though they were probably painted years ago.
