1950s Norell Black Sequin Mermaid Gown

This is it !!! Can you beat it ? Most fabulous and classic Norell evening gown in the all over sequins style that he is most well known for. The original label of Traina-Norell shows that he was doing this look before he formed his own company and that is was a style 'must have' with his clientele.The gown is all bias cut silk jersey with the sequins all hand sewn on. There are dark navy sequins mixed in with the black ones to animate the blackness. There is a closure at the side neck of a small hook and eye and a metal zipper on the left side. The silk chiffon scarf is original to the style and attached by hand at the neckline in the back . It could easily be removed if a different silhouette or accessorization is desired. Arms-eye is cutaway to the neck.
