Vintage Gumps Japanese Obi Bag with Jeweled Clasp

Obi bag made from colorful Japanese textile with large oval lapis clasp. The bag is multicolored with golds, reds, silver, black,greens, blue and burnt orange. The background color is beige.

The large clasp measures 1.5" x 2", and is oval. It is on a brass hinge, works well and closes the bag securely. Inside is lined in cream satin and has one slip compartment.

Bag was made in Japan and retailed by Gumps in San Fransisco.
