1940s Silk Floral Day Dress with Cutouts

Made from a stunning early custom screened silk, this dress is just wonderful. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little and has been stored properly for all these years so the colors are as crisp and vibrant as the day it was made! The design is just stunning. A beautiful abstract print is screened onto the silk and the colors that have been used are really beautiful and bold! The cut is simple yet dramatic. A slim pencil skirt skims over the hips and the waist nips in and can be further cinched by the matching belt. The bodice is simple and cut slightly loose with the most fantastic round cut outs at the neckline. These scooped and rounded cut outs add a subtle sexy touch. It appears to have never

Bust: approx 18-18.5” flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 12” flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 18.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 16" from top of bust to waist
Skirt: 25" from waist to hem

Unlined and closes with a side unpainted metal zipper and a second small metal zipper at the back of the neck. Original belt is present - it has a small break in it that I had repaired - otherwise both pieces look unworn.
