1960s Hanae Mori Butterfly Baby Doll

This is a classic Hanae Mori print dress in her signature butterfly print! The colors are just wonderful - bright tropical green mixed with vivid hues make up each of those fantastic butterflies!The print is actually screened onto both layers of the dress. The under dress is a silk twill, waistless and a slight A-line. Over this flows a silk chiffon layer - also printed with butterflies. It is semi-sheer so the effect that the two layers creates is fantastic! Both layers flow out from the neckline and the under-dress is halter style. Love it! On a tall girl it will be a mini and I would be tempted to make it the length that works best on you regardless! The balance of the fullness through the body and miles of legs would be to die! Excellent condition!

Total length: 35” from shoulder to bottom hem



The dress is fully lined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. There is a couple of pin mark tiny discolorations near the neck but its forgivable and wearable as is - mentioned for accuracy. No tags but the inner lining is signed throughout. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
