Montana Cree

Unlike the steer horn furniture that was manufactured in the late 19th century as an expression of the west ward expansion and westward conquest, the spirt of the piece represented here is marked in contrast.
This chair and Talisman were made of trade material and horns collected off of the plains from the fallen Buffalo by the Cree Indians of Great Falls Montana.
