David "Big Dutch" Nally | Not So Much

David lives in Reading, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Shortly after he graduated from Muhlenberg, David has worked refining steel at Carpenter Steel, a maker of specialty steel and metals. He is now an AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarbonization) Operator at Carpenter. David was raised by his mother and grandparents and has a half brother. “Big Dutch” relaxes by doing his stream of conscious art after work. His media are colored pencil, acrylics and water colors on thick paper. “Big Dutch” makes constructions and jewelry from found metal objects: a connection to his livelihood. “Big Dutch” met his biological father when he was 33 years old. He was surprised to learn that his father also produced art without having any training.
