African American attributed black & white improvisational "Cross T" temperance quilt. Georgia, Circa 1920's. Temperance quilts were made by women's temperance groups to be sold to raise money for the temperance movement. It is said that the "T" stands for teetotaler. This quilt makes for a very dynamic wall hanging.
