Farm Scene Crib Quilt

This unique Farm Scene Crib quilt is whimsical and charming in every way. Chickens are as large as the human figures. Eggs are shown in a nest. The buildings; animals and people are finely crocheted. The two dogs and two birds across the top are appliqued wool and velvet. The birds are identical to the sewing birds popular in Pennsylvania in the late 19th century. The border fabric of printed butterflies was the ideal choice to continue the light, airy barnyard theme. This is truly a one of a kind. It is a summer spread that has been professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 51" tall and 52" wide.
