Set of Temperance Day Sheet Metal Road Signs, circa 1951

About the Item

Created by the Seventh-Day Adventists church in 1951 for their October 27th, 1951 Temperance Day "Weapons and Warfare" Campaign against alcohol consumption in the United States. The Campaign included radio programs, posters, leaflets, road signs and "reflectorized" jingle boards. These jingle board signs are pictured in the 10/17/1951 issue of "The Record" published by the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. These signs are approximately 3 feet by 6.5 feet when displayed. Priced for the set of five.
