Gilt Bronze Aladdin Lamp for Tiffany and Co.
About the Item
Such a fine quality lamp was sufficiently impressive to be retailed by Tiffany. The adjustable lamp is boldly cast with scrolls and masks and raised on a circular and stepped foot. Although in the style of an oil lamp it was always fitted for electricity. Its unusual design combines an Orientalist form and Neo-Renaissance ornament.
Although originally to illuminate a writing surface, this lamp would serve equally as a stylish addition to many a room.
