19th Century Marble Bust of Queen Victoria
About the Item
He produced many monuments in Scotland such as the heroine Fiona Macdonald and the three Greek mythological figures known as Faith, Hope & Charity that originally adorned the roof of a drapers shop in Inverness and have recently been returned to Inverness after being in Orkney for more than 50 years. Queen Victoria spent much of her time in Scotland where this sculptor was based.
The condition is very good, the surface is slightly sugared, possibly from being outside for some years.
