Rare Alexander Girard "House" Hanging. Herman Miller 1964

This rare 1964 8 color silk screen on linen represent the artists first foray in to into the large printed wall hangings. 8 years later Girard's "Environmental Enrichment Panels", a group of 40 different figurative and abstract wall hangings, would be his last major project for Herman Miller. It is this particularly colorful and lyrical piece that Ray Eames choose to hang above her desk at the Eames house.
