Turn Of Century Oak Barber Chair by E. Berninghaus

Sold

Although not as known a name as Koken, Kochs, or Paider, Eugene Berninghaus made some of the first and finest barber chairs in America. This "Hercules" model is the very desirable round seat / round back combination, the most sought after by collectors. All metal is in original condition and is nickel plated steel. The body of the chair is figured oak, while the upholstery is a chocolate suede. The chair is unrestored, and shows signs of plating loss throughout. The mechanical functions all work fine, and the chair displays very well. A complete restoration is available at an extra cost.
