Modernist String Chair by Carl Koch

Great mid-century design by Boston architect Carl Koch for Tubbs of Vermont. Tubbs produced snow shoes in the mid-19th century, and later made innovative chairs out of the very same snow shoes in the early 20th century. This modern design reduces the concept even further into a strikingly simple and economical update.
