About the Item

A custom version of the Bunda Stool by Thomas Hayes Studio with solid brass frames and hand-carved solid Walnut seats in counter height. Also available in bar height. Please look at all pictures, as these stools are individually handmade and the solid brass has some variation. The light patina finish pictured here, by its very nature, highlights certain areas, especially at the welds, so a brushed finish without patina at all is recommended if you want a cleaner look. If you require more pictures, please inquire. This item is available for custom order and the lead time is 6-8 weeks; sometimes we are able to complete projects faster, so please contact us to inquire. This particular stool is in Walnut with Satin Lacquer. These are available for custom order only and can be ordered in various woods and metal finishes. WOOD OPTIONS: Walnut, Mahogany, Oak, Maple ($1900 each) Rosewood ($2450 each) FINISH OPTIONS: A variety of Satin Lacquer and Oil finishes are available; please inquire for all wood/finish options. NOTE: The oil finishes are flat, water proof and penetrate deeply, bonding with the upper fibers of the wood to create a silky surface that feels “finished” but looks like raw wood. BASE OPTIONS: Steel rames are available in flat black, dark bronze, white, or gray finished steel ($1,400 each for Walnut, Oak, Mahogany or Maple/ $1950 Rosewood). Solid brass is available in brushed, light patina, or dark patina ($1,900 Walnut Oak, Mahogany or Maple // $2450 Rosewood). DESIGN OPTIONS: Standard counter height is 26" and standard bar height is 31". Custom sizes available at an additional cost. This stool is also at dining table height and also in a two-seater bench version. CONDITION: For any custom pieces with solid wood, we deliberately choose to use beautifully figural wood that may have some irregularities. You can expect much variation in grain and some knots, slight cracks, and small filled knot holes that are naturally occurring in the completed pieces. It is part of our aesthetic and process when making hand crafted pieces to not attempt to hide these natural irregularities that we believe make a piece more beautiful and unique.
