Antique 18th Century Dutch Marquetry Inlaid Burr Walnut Bombe Slope-Front Bureau

About the Item

Finest antique Dutch marquetry inlaid burr walnut bombe' shape slope-front bureau with exceptional fitted interior and baize writing surface Please note extraordinary cast brass handles and escutcheon plates. It has many interior "secret" sliding document drawers either side of the central prospect door; both front bombe' legs are hinged to reveal a bank of vertical small "secret" drawers. Veneer shrinkage noted and age appropriate.
