French Carved Walnut Partner's Desk. Circa 1890

# Q226 - A very good carved walnut partner's desk with wonderful color and excellent proportions. The generous top with an inset leather top surrounded by a molded edge. The frieze with carved acanthus corbel form supports flanking drawers. The pedestals with deeply paneled sides and drawer fronts having stop fluted columns at the corners. All locks are marked Kreiger, Paris. All raised on bun feet. The bold detailing and architectural motifs give this piece both style and strength.
