George Nakashima

Nakashima Studio Dinning Suite. This Suite consist of a Free Edge Trestle Dinning Table: Which consists of eight book-matched solid boards, with 3 rosewood butterfly joints, The top is not screwed in like most, it's fits precisely to the base and is secured with pegs (shown in images) The oval horizontal rail that connects to the uprights passes thru and is secured with a wooden pin, these types of constructions are very consistent with traditional Japanese techniques (shown in images). Also, Six Conoid Dinning Chairs, and a Free Edge Wall Hung Case.
These pieces are shown for the first time, and were ordered directly from George Nakashima. Provenance provided, along with a great series of correspondence between George and his client.
