Exceptional Collection of 500 gouaches, fabric design 1870-1970

Exceptional collection of 500 gouaches/watercolors.



These projects were originally designed for a French fabric and wallpaper company between 1870 to 1970; which went bankrupt several years ago.



They are either signed, stamped, or dated by very popular and famous artists.



The subjects are illustrated, XIXth Century, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, modern, design, flowers, patchwork, figures, and nature scenes. They are extremely rare, and would provide excellent reference, inspiration, and starting points for textile and interior designers looking for authentic vintage designs. They can be used as wall decor or combined and juxtaposed with modern designs.



All gouaches are in original condition, some are slightly damaged, but the majority of the collection is in excellent condition.



They range in size with the average being 2ft x 2ft, some are 10" x 10", and a few larger ones at 5ft x 4ft.



The prices vary according to size, subject and date, between $100 to $1,000 each. Offers for more than one gouache are welcome.
