Oil on canvas by Janinie Collier titled "Berceuse", translation lullaby or song in 6/8 time intended to rock a child to sleep and or soothe. Color palate is a multitude of greens, from olive to turquoise, along with umbers, greys and ochre. Framed measurement is 55.25" L x 37.5" H x 2" D. Janine Collier (1922-2002) was a Chicago artist whose large abstract paintings were displayed in galleries across the country during the 1960s and '70s. She passed away in Arizona in November of 2002.
