Nude Painting

Original sumi ink and charcoal paintings by Jenna Snyder-Phillips, a New York based artist. Working in sumi ink, oil, and charcoal, she pushes her materials to their limits. Her signature style includes strong fluid brush strokes juxtaposed by harsh lines and blends sketching, drawing, and painting techniques. The physical nature of her gestural painting lends itself perfectly to living subjects, which range from nude figures to wildlife.
