A beautiful example of Nakashima's "Frenchman's Cove" dining table. The top comprises a pair of walnut planks joined by three rosewood butterfly keys.

George Nakashima did not sign all of the pieces that left his New Hope, Pennsylvania studio, but this table is signed and dated, "George Nakashima -- New Hope -- Aug 1961". (There is an additional inscription on the underside which reads, "Bensen French C.B.")
