Art Deco Pottery Masterpiece by Elizabeth Barrett

About the Item

Although best known for ceramics in the Arts & Crafts or Art Nouveau styles, the Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati continued to produce superb wares through the 1930s and 1940s, some in a very high Art Deco style. This masterpiece, equal to any ceramic piece decorated by the French masters, was created by Elizabeth Barrett in 1931, and features layered glazes in hues of aquamarine and brick.
