7 light Rococo style candelabra. FranceMid 19th Century Gilt-Bronze Rococo style candelabra with seven branches supporting candle sockets. High standard of casting in the rocaille, leaves, and ornaments. Baluster shaped stem can be distinguished under the twisting branches. First produced in the late 17th century the use of candelabra gain the highest popularity during the 18th and 19th centuries, until the introduction of gas lighting reduced their important role of bringing more light to the dining table.
