Monumental Custom Bisquit Tufted Sofa designed by William Haines USA1950's Monumental bisquit-tufted sofa, almost ten feet in length, designed by William Haines in the late 1950's. Recently reupholstered in a handsome off-white linen/rayon, the sofa rests on a black leather wrapped plinth base. The sofa came from a Haines commission in Palm Springs, and is similar in design to Haines' own sofa, as seen on page 178 of the book CLASS ACT: WILLIAM HAINES by Peter Schifando.
