Nils Fougstedt

Sweden 1881 - 1954
Nils Fougstedt was a craftsman and a sculptor, who mainly worked in pewter. Together with Estrid Ericson he founded the famous company Svenskt Tenn, in 1924. He went from 1920s neo-classicism to functionalism in the 1930s. His unmistakable design in pewter, often with engraved scenes of figures and animals, are today highly collectable.
