Chocolatier's Moquettes in Display Cabinet, Belgium, c1950
About the Item
If you look carefully, you can actually see the small imprints of some of well known chocolates and their contents, some moulds engraved Cote D'Or, Cointreau, De Ster, Hoog Boots, Ackermans, Callebaut, Verisch, La Boheme, etc. Unfortunately the detail is so fine it is difficult to capture on film.
These plaster moulds were usually made by the artist as the basis for the moulds used in the actual chocolate production.
